The Norwegian Infantry Badge is a rare and coveted foreign decoration awarded by the Norwegian Armed Forces to individuals who demonstrate high skill proficiency in orienteering, message couriering, target discovery, distance estimation, and weapons proficiency.

History: Originally introduced as the the Infantry Badge / Infanterimerket in 1928, it is more commonly known as the Norwegian Infantry Badge among participants today. It is awarded to individuals who successfully complete a series of light infantry skill assessments:

Bronze - One Completion
Silver - Two to Four Completions
Gold - Five or More Completions
