The Norwegian Sharpshooter Badge is a rare and coveted foreign decoration awarded by the Norwegian Armed Forces to individuals who demonstrate high proficiency rates in a variety of weapon systems.

History: Originally introduced as the Army Sharpshooter Badge in 1861 by the Norwegian Army, it became known as the Military Sharpshooter Badge by 1921 and is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exemplary weapons handling proficiency, precision, and accuracy during marksmanship testing. Each grade represents a different level of marksmanship proficiency:
Bronze and Silver: Awarded annually in each weapon group based on the number of impacts and score during testing.
Gold: Awarded for achieving a silver rating for five consecutive years in a particular weapon group.
