Norwegian Ski Badge
The Norwegian Ski Badge is a rare and coveted foreign decoration awarded by the Norwegian Armed Forces to individuals who demonstrate high proficiency rates in a variety of weapon systems.
Nord Market's badge is the sole variant officially endorsed by the Norwegian Embassy's Defense Attaché Office.

Badge Materials:
• Base - Metal Alloy
• Finish - Antique Bronze, Silver, or Gold
Badge Features:
• Durable, strong materials
• Krag–Jørgensen Rifle flanked by cross-country skis
• Two butterfly fasteners on the back for easy placement on clothing
• Three-dimension notching and band work create a background of pine trees to capture the rustic character of the cross-country skiing portion of the event

• Height: 1.5 inches / 3.8 centimeters
• Width: 1.5 inches / 3.8 centimeters
History: Originally introduced as the the Military Ski Badge / Det Militære Skimerket in 1915, it is more commonly known as the Norwegian Ski Badge among participants today. It is awarded to individuals who successfully complete a 30-kilometer, cross-country ski event paired with rifle marksmanship. Each grade represents the number of iterations a wearer has completed:
Bronze - One Completion
Silver - Two to Four Completions
Gold - Five or More Completions
